I think that it is great that you offer them, as all books are like gems, links to the past, proof of insanity, valuable to learn from, preventing or making it harder to lie.
I hope your documentation finds a home.

it's now time to clear out my old literature lest it fall into the right hands.. there is a fairly large range of books, volumes, pamphlets and various keepsakes.
some are unusual, say, part issues of the aid book and a live forever book that has had paragraphs altered in subsequent copies.
i am in hoppers crossing, melbourne.

january 5, 2017. reporter trey bundy discusses his reporting on allegations of sex abuse among jehovah’s witnesses.
.
Trey was asked, "If JWs are so secretive, how did this end up on your desk? "
Trey: "This was one of those mythological journalism moments that never happens… but it happened to us…. So this is what happened… A package arrived one day, it was about that thick… and at the top was a sampling of those memos … we followed a trail around the world talking to ex JWs."
What I like is that Trey has a handle on the way things work, just listen at 4:00 when he explains the investigative process and how the JWs don’t want to ‘ruin his (the perpetrator's) name’ (at 4:39) if there isn’t enough proof.
He covers the DF process, smoking, getting drunk, speaking out against the org, fornication, etc. You are shunned, but allowed to comeback to the meetings, and “it’s love”, so we will shun you so long that you can’t stand it so long you will want to come back.
Trey explains about forms that elders have to fill out, and that it gets entered into an electronic data base (which I didn’t know… I thought it was all paper trail by the way WT said “it would take years to find them all”…)
He is in touch with Irwin Zalkin & hears that, as of late, the WT has not paid one cent of the $4,000 a day yet.
Trey has asked all levels of law enforcement why the WT is allowed to do such a thing. He ties commissions in Australia, England into the way perhaps the people in the US might get a foothold into cracking this unfair manner of dealing with pedophilia, because, after all.... the US is the base headquarters for all of these branches around the world.
i know that i am not by any means the first person to take note of this article, but today i finally got around to reading it.
i quickly found the now infamous line "the governing body is neither inspired nor infallible.
" in the interest of fairness, however, i decided to finish the paragraph, which led me to finish the lesson.
An ex friend of mine clinnnngggggssss to this type of reasoning, as she was praying when JWs came to her door... I believe it is her last thread of hope...
"It rained once after I did a rain dance that's how I know it must work." That's about the same logic being used in this paragraph. They make the classic of mistake of assuming that a correlation means causation. Firstly, since these supposed angels are invisible and unwilling to testify there is no way to verify their involvement. Secondly, the fact that "many" (a rather vague amount if I do say so myself) cases have a publisher calling upon someone who has just prayed does not prove angelic direction, especially when one takes a moment to consider numbers that are involved. With several million people spending almost two billion hours year (over 5 million man hours a day) then a number of them are bound to come across people who have been praying recently.
I love this illustration..... it is what I have been trying to put into words for quite some time... I mean, I have thought of Mormons going door to door, people praying, Mormons coming... Does that make it God directed?
But the rain dancer? ...... excellent!
thx! cha ching!

"A recent book on religion in the United States notes: “Christian leaders have regularly revised their teachings to match the beliefs and opinions gaining support among their members and in the larger society.”
Well, we know for sure now! "A recent book on religion" said it... it must be true.... Why are we trusting "worldly" books? hmm? "Worldly" books are great, especially without any 'Title, Author, Year, Page number'
‘scientology: a war without guns’ airs on abc news’ ‘20/20,’ friday, january 6. posted 1/5/2017 .
‘20/20’ reports on ex-members of the church of scientology: those who are crusading against it and others who still practice outside the church .
actress leah remini sits down with anchor dan harris to discuss her fight against the church.
thanks Gayle! I am so glad for the heads up, it was a very interesting watch.... especially when they interviewed the Monique, the lawyer for Scientology... So much like WT lawyers....
i just ran across it on abc.
a scientology representative is discussing leah remini and others.
the representative is such a spinner.
@ 14:47, Monique, the lawyer says in regard to 'disconnection' (disfellowshipping), the "freedom to choose to leave, and the consequences"
Monique: "of course, there are consequences in every choice we make in life"
Sound familiar?

Thanks jaydee! I got to watch the end!!!
My sister wonders why it is not loving to shun people in Scientology? but very loving from JWs?
Do the people being shunned feel any different ?
Do they think about it from the victim's point of view?

Spot on, wannaexit! Our dear, 'Monica Applegate'
I was so happy to see an intelligent person, such as Angus Stewart, take her testimony apart, and show it for what it was with a few short questions!
when i was a believer, i endorsed this idea too.
i commented with things like "love jehovah more than your mate" or "love jehovah more than your friends".. it didn't occur to me as i was saying it that jehovah is an idea.
this god concept is an idea that should really pass scrutiny if you're supposed to love it more than anything else.. at best, this means that jehovah is real and you have to love jehovah more than the people in your life, no matter the despicable things he is said to have done, condoned and endorsed in his holy writ.
if we were created with such strong emotions and desires, it would go contrary to the "creators" designs to ignore them. Right?
Another cognitive dissonance moment, courtesy of the WT.

I watched it also, missed the last 10 minutes, "late" is hard for me to do (rats! I was dreaming that I was watdching)
Anyway, the lady with the white/ blonde hair, would repeat very legalistic replies back to the reporter, never just 'staring him in the eye with the honest reply', her eyes would "twitter" and look back and forth, and her favorite way of replying to anything?
T"hat certainly would not be appropriate....."
"We certainly would not approve it......"
If it did happen, and we are not saying it did, but if it happened to,and we are not saying they are lying, but perhaps they are mistaken or it could be that they are truly exaggerating it..... but they could be truly misrepresenting it.
As snake windy as one could find a WT lawyer replying to the question of child abuse: "We certainly abhor child abuse"
and then, you have the evidence.
